Breezyweaves was founded by Shyamala Devi Balachandran, a working mom with a career in IT who decided to pursue her passion for fashion alongside her professional life.

What began as a dream soon became countless late nights spent researching collections, sourcing fabrics and materials, coordinating with vendors, comparing prices, and carefully selecting products that offered the right balance of quality, style, and value.

Every step was hands-on — from selecting fabrics and working closely with vendors and tailors to customizing styles and refining designs. Breezyweaves was built with personal attention to the details that can turn a beautiful outfit into something truly special.

It wasn’t simply about selling clothing. It was about creating a collection she could proudly share with her customers.

From a Basement Boutique to a Growing Community

Breezyweaves started humbly as a small home-based basement boutique, growing one collection and one customer at a time.

From the beginning, listening to our customers has been at the heart of what we do.

We participated in local trade shows and community events, meeting customers face-to-face, learning what they were looking for, listening to their feedback, and using those conversations to continually improve and expand our collections.
